Day 1 Wednesday: January 21, February 4, February 18Departure from Taipei to Ulaanbaatar via Seoul at 7-8 am, arrival in Ulaanbaatar at around 5 pm. Welcome to Mongolian Adventure!
When you arrive at the airport, our team will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your well-placed hotel in downtown Ulaanbaatar (UB).
Depending on your arrival time, there may be a chance to explore the city and take leisurely walks. In the evening, we will convene for a welcome meeting with our team and share information about our journey.
You will also enjoy a delicious dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 2.Thursday: January 22, February 5, February 19Today, we embark on a day of cultural exploration in Ulaanbaatar.
Our first destination is the revered Gandan Monastery, a place of profound spiritual significance to Mongolians.
The day's cultural exploration concludes with a visit to the Chinggis Khaan Museum & Cultural Center, where you can immerse yourself in the rich history and heritage of Mongolia.
As a fitting farewell to your journey, we'll come together for a memorable dinner at one of Mongolia's prestigious restaurants, sharing stories and experiences.
Finally, you'll return to your hotel for a restful overnight stay, concluding your adventure with cherished memories of Mongolia.
Day 3. Friday: January 23, February 6, February 20After breakfast, we'll take a trip to the Genghis Khan statue—a gigantic steel equestrian monument located in Mongolia's Tsonjin Boldog region, 54 km east of Ulaanbaatar. Unveiled in 2008, the 40-meter-tall statue is considered the largest equestrian statue in the world.
On the way back, we'll visit a very unusual and interesting place in Mongolia: Terelj National Park. The park's landmarks include bizarrely shaped rocks. The most famous rock is called "Turtle Rock." We'll also visit the Meditation Temple with its suspension bridge. Climb all 108 steps and reach the top. The view from the temple is stunning.
Return to the capital.
Day 4. Saturday: January 24, February 7, February 21Breakfast. Visiting souvenir shops. Transfer to the train station and departure by train to Ulan-Ude, Russia, at 3:20 PM. Overnight on the train.
Day 5. Sunday: January 25, February 8, February 22Arrival in Ulan-Ude at 6:28 AM. Meet at the train station. Board the tour bus and transfer to the 3* hotel in the city center. Accommodation in double rooms. Breakfast buffet at the hotel's "Chashka" cafe. Relax.
Meet in the hotel lobby. Walking tour of the city's central square, near the "Zero Kilometer" monument. Walk to the Museum of the History of the Republic of Buryatia. Lunch at a Georgian restaurant.
A car tour of Ulan-Ude, including a visit to the city's observation deck and the Rinpoche Bagsha Buddhist Temple. A tour of the open-air Ethnographic Museum, where you will learn about the wooden architecture of Transbaikalia. Visit to a recreational sports complex where you can ride snow tubes down a snow slide. Diiner at the Nyutag cafe. Transfer to the hotel, rest
Day 6. Monday: January 26, February 9, February 23 Breakfast. Meeting with your guide in the hotel lobby and departure to the east coast of Lake Baikal. Arrival in the village of Goryachinsk. Accommodation at the “Baikal. Tea Way” horel on the first coastline. Lunch, Russian cuisine.
A walking tour along the shore of Lake Baikal, introduction to the recreational opportunities of the ancient Russian resort of Goryachinsk. Evening swimming in hot springs and an outdoor thermal pool or tubing. Return to the hotel. Dinner, rest.
Day 7. Tuesday: January 27, February 10, February 24Breakfast. An exciting day of sightseeing will begin with a walk on the ice of Lake Baikal. Departure on a hovercraft across the ice to the center of Lake Baikal, where the lake's deepest point, reaching a depth of 1.6 km, is located and then to Olkhon Island. We will have magnificent views of the icy Lake Baikal take a walk along the coastline of the island, where there are grottoes and snow sculptures. Lunch, Baikal cuisine. Return to Goryachinsk in the evening. Dinner at the hotel cafe, rest.
Day 8. Wednesday: January 28, February 11, February 25Breakfast. Departure along the Baikal highway to the Barguzinsky district of the Republic of Buryatia in the protected area of the national park "Zapovednoe Podlemorye". Exploring the nature reserve, visiting Zmeevaya Bay, swimming in hot radon springs, taking photos in snow grottoes. Lunch, Baikal cuisine. Transfer to Ulan-Ude. Dinner at a roadside cafe. Evening arrival in Ulan-Ude. Accommodation in a 3* hotel, rest.
Day 9. Thursday: January 29, February 12, February 26Breakfast. Departure for a excursion trip to the ancient Russian village of Desyatnikovo. Along the way, we'll stop at the foot of a sacred mountain, climb a staircase and admire the view of the Selenga River valley. A guide interpreter will tell you the history of the area. Arrive in the village of Desyatnikovo, where a fascinating interactive program awaits, introducing you to the traditions and way of life of the ancient Russian Old Believers. They greet guests in vibrant, antique clothing. The women wear ancient amber beads, over 250 years old. Ancient songs, dances and rituals are performed, with tourists participating. Lunch features traditional Russian cuisine. Return to the city. Visit the souvenir shop. Overnight at the hotel, rest.
Day 10. Friday: January 30, February 13, February 27Breakfast. After lunch, transfer to the train station. Departure to Ulaanbaatar by train at 3:39 PM. Overnight on the train.
Day 11. Saturday: January 31, February 14, February 28Arrival in Ulaanbaatar at 6:38 AM. Breakfast at a cafe. Transfer to the airport. Flight to Taipei via Hong Kong or Seoul.
